Listen to this: Goldberg Variations (Happy Birthday J. S. Bach)

260 years young and still as fresh as ever in my ear.  I will be playing Bach’s Partita for Solo Flute BWV 1013 on  Friday in honor of his birthday.

Below is the great Glen Gould playing the Goldberg Variations. Notice the really retro recording equipment and Glen’s stupid chair.

Goldberg Variations BWV 988 – 1. Aria

For me, the slower you can play this, the better. This is on my list of all time great moments in recorded history.
