I believe that the key to being successful in the music business is the one activity that is most often overlooked: listening. As musicians we spend a lot of time practicing, analyzing, marketing, tweeting, and not nearly enough time simply listening. My blog discusses all aspects of music with an emphasis on listening and digesting music that is paramount to being a musician.
I frequently post recordings, either found on a public site (like youtube) or that I own. None of the recordings are available for download unless I specifically link to them for such purposes. If you hack through my site to illegally download recordings, you have bigger problems than learning how to listen anyway.
I am really glad you are reading my site. If you have questions of comments, feel free to send me an email. I will occasionally post emailed comments I receive. If you want to post blog comments, I am sorry; I don’t use them.
